Those keepers would then get sent over to a wiki setup inside Notion for that specific topic of research. From there, I would review the "inbox" and filter out the keepers. DEVONthink now becomes more of an inbox for all these websites and webpages I am saving snippets from. I can also save things directly from DEVONagent to DEVONthink. ![]() DEVONagent Pro came with my DEVONthink Pro Office license and is an amazing tool for deep searches. Lets say I really need to do some deep web searches for some research. Here is an example of how I see that scenario playing out. To expand a bit further, there are times when I might use both in tandem. Or maybe a more accurate statement would be Notion will be the solution for 90% of my needs while DDEVONthink fills in the missing 10%. I would say of all the software and services I have used, not including the specialty softwares like the Adobe Create Cloud for example, Notion has either replaced or will replace about 90% of them. Notion does a much better job at helping me achieve that. All I want to see is what I am focusing on. If I am reviewing my tasks list, I don't need it surrounded by my electric bill statement, an email I need to save from my boss, etc. By that, I mean keeping the things I mentioned in the bullet points in their own little world. The biggest problem I have with using DEVONthink or even Evernote for these things, since they are direct competitors, is there is no way to really keep things clean and uncluttered. In my opinion, DEVONthink can be used for all of these things, but for my own personality, Notion works better for me than DEVONthink because it is more visual and customizable. Research - Either one, but I'm leaning toward Notion as my primary I primarily use DEVONthink as my digital filing cabinet, but this is kind of how I categorize the areas I am looking for solutions for: While I haven't stopped using DEVONthink and still consider it a staple in my regularly used softwares, I have stopped using DEVONthink for some things, but not all. I have also been using DEVONthink since 2012, on and off but now permanently. I am a fairly new user of Notion, but feel as if I know enough about it to have an opinion.
